Cookie Policy — ElectroRenew

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your session (such as login state) across page loads.

ElectroRenew uses a minimal set of technically necessary cookies to operate the platform securely. No cookie consent banner is required for essential cookies under the ePrivacy Directive, as they are strictly necessary for the service to function.

2. Cookies We Use

These 4 cookies are strictly necessary for operation. They cannot be disabled without breaking core platform functionality.

3. What We Do NOT Use

Google Analytics or any analytics/tracking cookies
Advertising network cookies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, etc.)
Cross-site tracking cookies or fingerprinting scripts
Stripe or payment-related cookies (no payments are processed in the platform)
Social media sharing or login cookies
Performance monitoring scripts from third-party providers (Hotjar, Mixpanel, etc.)
A/B testing or personalization cookies

4. Third-Party Services

The only third-party services that may set technically necessary cookies are:

Neither Supabase nor Netlify uses the data from these cookies for advertising purposes. Both providers comply with GDPR requirements.

5. Local Storage

In addition to cookies, ElectroRenew uses browser localStorage for:

i18nextLng — language preference (same as the cookie)
manualLanguageSelection — whether the user has manually chosen a language

These values are stored locally in your browser only and are never transmitted to third parties.

6. Managing Cookies

Since we use only essential cookies, disabling them through your browser settings will impair or prevent platform functionality (you will be unable to log in or maintain a session).

Most modern browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings panels:

Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Deleting the sb-access-token or sb-refresh-token cookies will log you out of the platform.
